Beach Boys New Album
The Beach Boys are reuniting and releasing their first album in some 20 years. After years of finger pointing and lawsuits, the Boys have decided to bury the hatchet. As of late they’ve been in a Los Angeles studio working on their new album. They plan on a summer tour after the albums release on June 5th, 2012.
The title track off the album, “That’s Why God Made The Radio”, has all the great harmonies that made The Beach Boys famous. The song will lead you to believe that you’re back in 1965. This tour will mark the band’s 50th anniversary…. Damn, that’s older than I am!
I was never a hardcore Beach Boys fan but I saw Brian Wilson when he toured with Paul Simon some years back. It was a beautiful summer evening in Massachusetts and his show was a blast from the past. He played all the Beach Boys hits and the crowd just loved it. I have a much greater appreciation for Brian and the Beach Boys now. I’ll definitely try to catch their show if they come my way this summer.
